For Growing Pains' very first student highlight, we are introducing Ali Parker, a freelance social media manager. 

Ali Parker’s story is compelling, and we are excited to share it with the world.

I have known Ali Parker for years, I have watched her transform from a first-year English and journalism student to a freelance social media manager and content creator, taking her career into her own hands. 

Right after college, Ali landed a media management job for a small university but was laid off not long after. 

The current job market is extremely competitive and challenging to enter, but Ali was not going to let that stop her from pushing her own career forward. 

She began her own “passion projects” including a New England-based food blog, HangryBostonChick, and her own freelance media company, Ali Parker Media. Through these projects, Ali continues to learn and grow in her craft and prove to others that this is what she loves to do. 

Ali is an inspiration to us all, dedicated to pursuing her goals and always trying new things, believing that there is no such thing as failure.
